Sci-Fi Observer Studio (S.F.O.S.)

By deconstructing 3 sets of filler words:
.
"Sci-Fi", which literally means "Science Fiction", so-called a type of narrative that expresses fictional stories with "Modernism" and its core of story-telling is "Humanism".
"Observer", "O" as filler words and as the meaning of the text.
"Studio", "S" as filler words and as the meaning of the text.
The logo combines these sets of words in typography. The base color pays homage to the "Kitako Blue" color for uniform of female students in the Japanese light novel adaptation of the sci-fi anime series "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". and the result is the design as a Modernism style shown in the attached image.

The purpose of the studio, is to seek out the hidden gems of the Sci-Fi franchise that the pop don't know. To boldly go where no Sci-Fi geek has gone before~!

Sci-Fi Observer Studio (S.F.O.S.)

藉由拆解三組字詞的意義：
"Sci-Fi"，即「科幻」，一種主要以「現代主義」為主要表現形式、以「人文主義」的意識形態作為核心的故事敘事哲學。
"Observer"，"O"為填充字，即字面上的意義，「觀測者」、「觀察員」。
"Studio"，"S"為填充字，即字面上的意義，「工作室」。
這個徽章結合了這3個字的縮寫字體，底色致敬日本輕小說改編科幻作品《涼宮春日的憂鬱》系列內的西宮北高女生制服的淺藍色，最後呈現如附圖以現代主義呈現的設計。

作為我們工作室的宗旨，是尋找在科幻系列作品中潛藏的寶藏。並且，大膽地航向科幻迷們的未知之境～！

The only remaining student science fiction club in Taiwan is a chance to take a step forward? Or is it a crisis towards its demise?

Five years ago, Studio DeltaQ-47 designed an invitation cards series for the 20th anniversary of the NTU Sci-Fi Club.

The invitations were issued in the same format and with different identities, so that the invitations could be more closely related to the preferences and needs of various people.

"Infinite Possibility"

.

- Science fiction, the ultimate frontier of modern imagination. -

.

- The future, has infinite possibility. -

.

This work is inspired by the concept of "Cyborg" and combines elements of several classic science fiction works to pay tribute to the great predecessors and classics of science fiction creation, symbolizing the endlessness of science fiction and human creativity. With the development of technology, living in space and telepresence communication are no longer just science fiction. Even though the forms are not exactly the same, human beings have still surpassed what they have imagined in the past.

.

The "∞" and "42" in the first half of the composition symbolize the infinite possibilities of science fiction and the ultimate answer to the universe that we keep chasing - but what's the harm if the answer doesn't exist? We love Sci-Fi, and this is where future lands. Live long and prosper!

臺大科幻社20週年新形象/海報設計

"Infinite Possibility"

.

- 科幻，人類的當代想像邊疆 -

- 未來，有無盡的可能性 -

本作品從「賽博格」的概念發想，結合多部經典科幻作品元素，向科幻創作的大前輩、經典作品致敬，象徵科幻與人類創意的生生不息。隨著科技的發展，居住在太空、遠距離即時通訊已經不再只是科幻，縱使形式上不完全相同，人類依然超越了過去所幻想的自己。

上半的構圖呈現的＂∞＂以及＂42＂，象徵科幻的無限可能性、以及我們不斷追逐的宇宙終極答案 —— 但即使答案不存在又有何妨？

The Tower of the Sun is a massive piece of art designed by the artist Taro Okamoto as part of the Theme Pavilion for the 1970 Japan World Exposition. It's the most interesting concept art in Expo 70' to me. So I created this artwork, a blend of cyberpunk style background, Tokyo Tower, and Japanese anime character silhouettes in the lower right corner. In fact, the Japanese at that time were taking action to say "NO" to the progressivism of technological supremacy. And that's why today, Japanese are known for our rich export of anime and manga, and also sexual contents culture. Thanks for that, Japanese!

太陽之塔是藝術家岡本太郎所設計的一件巨型裝置藝術，也是1970年日本世界萬博博覽會主題館的一部份。對我來說，它是70年萬博會最令我著迷的概念藝術。我創作了這件抽象藝術，它融合了電馭龐克風格的電子風背景、東京鐵塔，以及右下角的日本漫畫角色剪影。事實上，當時的日本人也採取了行動，對科技至上論的進步主義說「不」！而這很可能就是為什麼今天，日本以豐富的動畫及漫畫文化輸出，甚至是性內容文化而聞名。謝謝你們！日本人！
